2026 LA County Fair season wraps up

The Los Angeles County Fair closed Sunday and the midway lights dimmed until next season.

According to Renee Hernandez, the LA County Fair‘s director of communications, there were several standout items at this year’s fair.

“The dog show was a big hit — guests loved it and had opportunities to greet the dogs and ask questions after each show,” she said in a statement.

The Cutest Dog Show on Earth was new to the fair this year and featured more than 20 rescue dogs that performed their best tricks for adoring crowds.

As for food, among the endless fried options, a fruit treat drew in guests.

“The big food item, totally unexpected, was the chocolate-covered frozen grapes,” Hernandez said.

From new shows, more food, and one last roll around the skating rink, the fair brought the fun to kick off summer.

Next year’s theme announcement is expected early this momth and preparation for the 2027 fair will begin.
