3 killed in Denver shootings overnight, including suspected murder-suicide

Three people were killed in shootings in Denver late Friday night and early Saturday morning, including one suspected murder-suicide, police officials said.

Denver Police Department officers were called to a shooting in the 2700 block of South Fenton Street in the Bear Valley neighborhood on Friday night, agency officials said on social media at 11:45 p.m.

One person was shot and later died at the hospital, and police later found the suspect dead from an apparent suicide.

A second shooting was reported in the 1100 block of North Syracuse Street in Denver’s East Colfax neighborhood. A juvenile male was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead, police said at 12:29 a.m.

Investigators believe the shooting happened when a house party spilled out into a parking lot where the shooting happened.

No one has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing, Denver police said Saturday morning.
