3 suffer minor injuries, including officer, in Pasadena shooting

A shooting in Pasadena was under investigation after three people, including a police officer, suffered minor injuries.

Pasadena police officers responded to a residence around 9:05 p.m. on the 200 block of North Oakland Avenue, just north of Walnut Street, Lt. Monica Cuellar told reporters.

Three people — a police officer, and a driver and a passenger in a vehicle — were hospitalized, Cuellar said.

All three sustained minor injuries and the officer was discharged from the hospital around 11 p.m., Cuellar said.

A black Audi was left with bullet holes.

A special crime unit was coincidentally working at the scene and conducting an operation at the time of the shooting, Cuellar said.
