5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita and Western Antelope Valley Foothills are under a wind advisory which was released by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 12:36 p.m. The advisory is valid for Thursday, April 16 between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA informs, “Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
