Damaging winds, thunderstorms and snow showers could hit the Chicago area Sunday evening and early Monday.
The National Weather Service predicts a “variety of hazardous weather conditions” starting Sunday night and into Monday morning.
Meteorologists are expecting 45 to 55 mph “damaging” and “strong” winds. Temperatures could also drop overnight into the teens with subzero wind chills.
Snow showers are also possible early Monday and could drop an inch of snow, according to the weather service.
Dense fog, scattered rain and thunderstorms will continue Sunday morning and into the afternoon with heavy downpours and possible hail, the weather service said.
The Chicago Department of Buildings issued an advisory to businesses and construction managers to limit outside construction and secure work sites.
