7 hospitalized after driver hits CTA bus in West Garfield Park

Seven people were injured Monday morning after a driver failed to stay in her lane and hit a CTA bus in West Garfield Park, Chicago police said.

The driver — a 46-year-old woman in a Toyota sedan — was traveling east in the 4400 block of West Harrison Street when she veered out of her lane and struck the bus around 10:50 a.m., according to police.

The woman and two other adults in the Toyota were taken in unknown condition to Stroger Hospital, police said. Four adults on the CTA bus were taken to Stroger and Mount Sinai hospitals in good condition.

The driver was issued a citation, according to police.
