Seven people were wounded in a shooting late Saturday night in Bronzeillve less than a mile away from Chicago Police headquarters on the South Side.
Around 11:10 p.m., a group of people were standing in the 3500 block of South State Street when a vehicle drove by and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said.
- A 28-year-old woman was shot in the left thigh and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
- A man, 30, was shot in his right leg and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center.
- A 30-year-old woman was shot in her right knee and taken to the University of Chicago.
- A second 30-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his left thigh and was taken to Stroger Hospital.
- Another man, 31, was shot in the left foot and taken to the University of Chicago.
- A 32-year-old man was shot in the left thigh and taken to St. Bernard Hospital.
- A 28-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his buttocks and was taken to the University of Chicago.
All of the victims were listed in good condition, officials said.
No one was in custody.
