A new perspective: Rose Parade announces first-ever TikTok livestream

For the first time in its 137-year history, the Rose Parade will be streaming live on TikTok, introducing a brand-new way for audiences around the world to experience the New Year’s Day celebration, officials said.

In partnership with TikTok, the Tournament of Roses will bring a creator-driven perspective to the parade with a one-hour live broadcast beginning Thursday, Jan. 1, at 8 a.m. PST on the Rose Parade’s official TikTok page.

The live broadcast will be co-hosted by creators Challan Trishann and Pressley Hosbach – who is also co-hosting the 2026 Rose Parade official livestream. The TikTok sensations will take viewers behind the scenes and onto the corner of Orange Grove and Colorado Boulevard to offer a lively, creator-forward vantage point of the parade’s floral floats, marching bands, and world-class equestrian units.

Joining the co-hosts throughout the hour are two special guests – Brandon Hurst and Nana Kakyiri – who will also bring unique expertise and enthusiasm to the broadcast, officials said.

Hurst, whose thriving plant business and interactive live shopping streams have captivated millions of followers, will share insights into the artistry and craftsmanship behind the parade’s floral masterpieces. Kakyiri, an equestrian creator and host of “The Horse Girls” podcast, will lend her perspective on the parade’s renowned equestrian units and the skill, training, and tradition they represent, according to a press release.

Introducing a TikTok live broadcast is part of the Tournament of Roses’ strategy to continue growing its audience and making the parade more accessible to people, officials said. Part of that strategy also includes having the Rose Parade be livestreamed on multiple platforms.

Viewers can tune in to the New Year’s Day celebration via traditional broadcast partners, the official livestream, and now – for the first time – TikTok LIVE.

“With this first-ever TikTok LIVE stream, we’re thrilled to invite a new generation of Parade fans to experience the magic of the Rose Parade from a fresh, creator-led lens,” Mark Leavens, president of the Tournament of Roses, said in a statement. “TikTok’s global community, paired with the energy and insight of these talented creators, allows us to share the spirit of New Year’s Day in a whole new way.”
