Amazon Prime Video users are experiencing outages meaning they’re unable to watch television.

Users in the UK and Europe have reported issues watching programmes through the app this morning.

More than 1,000 reports have been submitted to monitoring site DownDetector in the last hour.

Of those reports, 71% say they’re having problems with video streaming, 23% are having issues with the app, and 6% are seeing server connection problems.

UK hotspots for the reports include London, Glasgow, Manchester and Nottingham.

Plus, a number of customers have reported their concerns with Amazon via social media.

Clare W said on X: ‘I was watching up to 10am BST, now nothing’s working.’

What to watch on Amazon Prime Video – when it comes back

Scanners (1981)

David Cronenberg’s sci-fi horror masterpiece follows Cameron Vale (Stephen Lack), a man suffering from voices in his head.

Raoul Moat: Inside the Mind of a Killer (2025)

This brand-new documentary seeks to explore how Raoul Moat’s actions continue to reverberate through families, communities, and public memory a decade after he sparked the biggest manhunt in recent UK history.

Interview with the Vampire (2022)

This supernatural series, based on Anne Rice’s iconic 1976 novel, reimagines the story of Louis de Pointe du Lac – a man-turned-vampire – recounting his centuries-long, tumultuous relationship with his maker, Lestat de Lioncourt.

Mother, May I? (2023)

This psychosexual thriller follows a man who is forced to confront his troubled relationship with his mother when she dies and then appears to possess his girlfriend.

The Ritual (2017)

Based on the novel by Adam Nevill, this British horror follows four men – played by Rafe Spall, Arsher Ali, Robert James-Collier, and Sam Troughton – on a hiking trip following the death of their close friend.

But after taking what appears to be a shortcut through an unmarked trail and become lost, they suspect that an evil presence is watching their every move.

Another user, Vivek, says he contacted customer services after renting a film only to find the Prime Video platform was down.

He claimed he was told there is a ‘known global app issue’ which could take ’24-48 hours’ to resolve.

In other news, Amazon faced backlash earlier this week for editing the guns out of its James Bond film posters.
