Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been spotted with what appeared to be a bruise on his face.

Paparazzi photographed the disgraced former duke, 66, as he left his home on Marsh Farm in the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

The former prince appeared to have a purple-blue mark around his eye and another across his cheek.

The cause of the mark remains unknown.

Andrew has not been seen publicly since he was approached while walking the late Queen Elizabeth’s corgis near the Sandringham Estate in May.

A man wearing a balaclava shouted at Andrew at a public park in Wolferton, with Andrew fleeing into his car, according to The Sun.

A security guard from the estate, which is privately owned by King Charles, confronted the man and phoned the police at about on May 6.

Alex Jenkinson, 39, pleaded not guilty at Westminster Magistrates’ Court to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards Andrew.

A ‘frightened’ Andrew has reportedly demanded that his security detail be reinstated – his taxpayer-funded protection team was axed by Charles in August 2024.

It emerged last week that Andrew is being investigated for possible sexual offences.

Police are investigating whether the royal, formerly known as Prince Andrew, behaved inappropriately towards a waitress at Royal Ascot.

The annual horse race in Berkshire was attended by the late Queen Elizabeth II and other senior royals in 2022.

It is unclear when the claim was reported and it is not thought that staff made the racing festival aware of it at the time.

Andrew publicly attended two days of the five-day festival in June 2002 during the late Queen’s Golden Jubilee to mark 50 years of her reign.

The allegation is part of a wider investigation into Andrew over allegations of misconduct in public office as a government trade envoy.

Andrew was arrested in February, on his 66th birthday, held in custody for 11 hours before being released under investigation.

He has denied any wrongdoing.
