An investigation was underway after Los Angeles police officers fatally shot an armed suspect during a confrontation in Reseda.
Officers were called at 12:10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, to Sherman Way and Geyser Avenue regarding an assault-with-a-deadly-weapon call near a 7-Eleven. When they arrived, a LAPD helicopter directed officers to the suspect’s location.
When they confronted him, police shot the man. What prompted the shooting was immediately unclear.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
ABC 7 reported a handgun was found at the scene.
