Capitalizing on buzz surrounding the unabashedly extreme Aston Martin Valkyrie, the British marque joined forces with Brough Superior (aka the Rolls-Royce of motorcycles) in 2019 to launch the AMB 001, a turbocharged track-only superbike featuring several functional nods to the 1,160-hp hypercar. Even with a $120,000 price tag, buyers snapped up all 100 limited editions, prompting the British heritage brands to launch a more extreme AMB 001 Pro featuring 225 horsepower—a 25% increase over the non-Pro model—inviting comparisons to an “F1 car on two wheels” thanks to its race car-rivaling power-to-weight ratio. If the price didn’t bother, the biggest downside was its ban from public roadways.
The marques’ new AMB 002 Roadster, however, is street legal. The “all-new machine” is still a V-twin, except it’s a naturally aspirated 1,083cc unit developing 130 hp and 81 pound-feet of torque—output-wise, it’s a far cry from the bonkers figures of its track-only predecessors. But the torque figure, which arrives in the low-to-mid rev range, serves its purpose: “a responsive, engaging character with accessible, exhilarating performance.”
Commensurate performance can be had for far cheaper, but the AMB 002 will be bought and sold for its exclusivity—300 will be produced—and its absolutely jaw-dropping design. The fuel tank and side fairings are made of “pebble-smooth” carbon fiber and shaped in a way that coalesces into the rider, as are the incredibly low-slung mirrors. Crescent-shaped gills slice into the flanks to aid engine cooling and further streamline the airflow.
Distinctly automotive details abound as well. The AMB 001 Pro’s Valkyrie-inspired sidestrake has been reimagined and now frames the headlamp. Twin oval exhausts feature ribbed heat sinks which echo the exhaust finisher design of Vanquish, DB12 S, and DBX S. A dramatic array of rear light blades is the same type as those seen on the tails of the Aston Martin Vulcan, Valkyrie, and Valhalla hypercars, while keyless function, a backlit ignition button, and hand-crafted saddle leather seat pads bring Aston’s GT-style luxury to a two-wheeled platform.
The engine, which features weight-saving CNC-machined billet engine cases, sits in a lightweight titanium frame that forms the signature Brough Superior “spine” that punctuated previous AMB bikes. These material considerations allow for a perfect 50-50 weight distribution and an “exceptionally low” center of gravity that promises excellent agility. Brough Superior also implemented its distinctive double-wishbone “Fior fork” front suspension, which avoids the compromises of conventional telescopic forks by separating the steering and braking forces. According to Aston Martin, the Fior system’s anti-dive characteristic gives it exceptional stability under braking, especially when braking while leaned over into a corner.

A price hasn’t been revealed, but the first AMB 002 examples are expected to be delivered in late 2027.
