Avengers: Endgame featured Chris Hemsworth as fat Thor and did a lot to transform into a new version of Thor. In the movie, we saw how Thor, affected by Thanos’ snap leads a low profile life in the new Asgard. He plays video games and drinks beer until he is recruited back to fight Thanos. After spoiler ban got lifted, MCU fans were treated with many BTS videos and pictures from the sets and the same are doing rounds on the sets. And now, we have the latest one which showcases fat Thor performing Johnny Cash’s ‘Hurt’ song with a guitar. The same debuted on Jimmy Fallon’s show.
Chris said, “I didn’t even know if I was ever gonna shower, right? ‘Cause it was like, in the trailers, in between a few takes… I method-acted the whole [thing],” He later added, “What else would he be into but ‘Hurt’ by Johnny Cash? The saddest song in the world.” He deemed himself a terrible singer and guitarist.
In the same, we can see Thor lamenting all that he has lost via the cover of the Hurt song which is a popular track of Nine Inch Nails. In another interview, he spoke about the new look of Thor that he sported in Endgame. He said, “I like that anything goes. You’re not locked into expectations. I enjoyed that version of Thor. It was so different than any other way I played the character. And then it took on a life of its own.” Check out the video right below.
