SAN BRUNO — A person entered BART tracks near the San Bruno station early Tuesday, resulting in a major medical emergency that shut down the station for more than 90 minutes, officials said.
A social media alert from the agency said the station opened again about 7:10 a.m. with limited service.
BART spokesperson Anna Duckworth did not specify the emergency but said the agency closed the San Bruno station following the incident. The incident happened around 5:40 a.m.
The delay affected trains moving in the Antioch, Richmond and San Francisco Airport directions. Duckworth said the delay had grown to about 20 minutes at 7 a.m.
SamTrans provided bus service between the South San Francisco and Millbrae stations while the stations were closed.
