Moreau Catholic basketball player Isaiah Clendinen is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Dec. 22-27.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Clendinen had 70.9% of the vote. Los Gatos basketball player Dionysis Maroudas took second at 25.1% and Fremont-Sunnyvale basketball player Aztlan Santana finished third.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Clendinen, a junior, finished with 26 points — one off his season high — to lead Moreau to a 57-52 victory over Madison-San Diego. The win improved the Mariners’ record to 9-1.
