Bears’ Caleb Williams needs a nickname. What did you come up with?

Look, if Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is going to make a habit of leading winning drives in the fourth quarter, he’s going to need a nickname.

Sorry, but those are the rules.

In this week’s “Polling Place,” your home for Sun-Times sports polls on the social platform X, we threw out a few options that seem to have been, based on the voting, preposterously lame. Commenters offered their own ideas.

“Final Boss” was @DillingerJohn54’s suggestion. “Joe Cool” was @RonaldVoigt4’s. A bunch of commenters, including @felipeed1505, @Hpatel729 and @JakeTheDog93, said it should be “Iceman,” which Bears receiver Luther Burden III recently used in a social media reference to his QB.

And a clever one from @Bearlissimo1: “18 Degrees — cold, smart and all the different ways he can beat you.”

Next, we asked for your favorite Bears rookie. Burden? Tight end Colston Loveland? Running back Kyle Monangai?

“This really stumped me,” @itsmine49 replied.

“Talk about tough choices,” @BarroomNetwork wrote. “Congrats, Ryan Poles.”

Last, we asked you to vote for the winner of Sunday’s Bears-Vikings game in Minneapolis. Overwhelmingly, voters forecast a road upset.

“My Bears team better not be this overconfident,” @rynelancer observed.

On to the polls:

Poll No. 1: Pick a nickname for Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.

Upshot: Just be glad we didn’t trot out “Captain Caleb,” too, OK?

Poll No. 2: Who’s your favorite Bears rookie?

Upshot: Each of the three named above has had some promising moments. Loveland and Monangai tormented the Bengals on an afternoon to remember. Is another bomb coming Burden’s way this weekend?

Poll No. 3: Who wins Sunday in Minneapolis, the Bears or the Vikings?

Upshot: The Vikings have won three in a row and eight of the last nine in this rivalry. Just in case that, you know, means anything to anybody.
