The Sun-Times’ Bears experts make their pick for Sunday’s game against the Steelers at Soldier Field (noon, CBS 2):
Patrick Finley
Bears, 23-20 (OT): No NFL team allows more passing yards per game than the Steelers’ 261.7. After leaning on Caleb Williams’ legs two weeks ago, it’s time for the Bears to win because of what their quarterback does through the air. Season: 6-4.
Jason Lieser
Steelers, 25-23: Aaron Rodgers is going to put everything he has into not only being available, but making a stand against his favorite team to beat. If he’s got one last big performance, it’ll be Sunday. Season: 6-4.
Scoop Jackson
Bears, 23-20: Finley suggested this week: “Pick at your own risk.” If nothing else has been learned this season, irregardless (not a word) of the opponent: Don’t pick against the Bears. Season: 3-7.
Steve Greenberg
Bears, 26-20: Will it be Rodgers or Rudolph at QB for the visitors? One of them “owns” the Bears; the other led the Steelers to a 1-4 record last season. Also, will the Steelers have linebacker Alex Highsmith back? When he’s in the mix with T.J. Watt and Nick Herbig, this pass rush is extra-dangerous. Even so, Williams should hit some big shots. . Season: 7-3.
Mark Potash
Bears, 24-20: Rodgers vs. the 2025 Bears’ rabbit’s foot will be an enticing matchup that favors the Bears, who have momentum on their side. If he doesn’t play? After losing to Tyler Huntley, even Mason Rudolph is a threat to this defense. Season: 7-3.
