Bears, 28-24: I’m more concerned about the Vikings defense giving up the third-fewest rushing yards in the NFL last week than I am their blitz scheme, which Caleb Williams traditionally handles with aplomb. When he was sacked 68 times in 2024, only five came from the Vikes. Last week: 0-1.

Bears, 34-29: The Bears aren’t going to rip up a Brian Flores defense like they did to the Panthers’ last week, but they’ll put up enough points to outrun their defensive troubles. Last week: 1-0.

Bears, 36-30: Flores’ defense does have the capability of slowing this Bears offense down. 400 yards of offense down from 552, 36 points down from 59. Yeah, that’s down. Last week: 0-1.

Bears, 30-24: Eight touchdowns? Uh, no. Enough of them? Along with a few kicks to get the job done, yes. But Williams and the offense will be pressed hard to overcome a gung-ho pass rush. Last week: 1-0.

Bears, 35-24: Blitz, shmitz! Williams isn’t afraid of the Vikings’ big, bad blitzes brought by Flores. And the Bears shouldn’t be afraid of the Vikings’ offense, outside of Justin Jefferson, of course. Happy home opener! Last week: 0-1.
