Bears QB Caleb Williams sends Pope Leo an autographed jersey, which could be a sneak peek of rivalry uniform

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams sent Pope Leo XIV an autographed jersey, and it might have revealed something about the upcoming season.

The jersey, which has multiple inscriptions on it that are difficult to read from the photo his foundation posted on X, is a Bears road white. However, it has orange letters and numbers with a navy outline, whereas the Bears’ road jerseys have been white with navy figures and an orange trim.

The uniform could be part of the upcoming Nike rivalries series. The Bears will wear a rivalry jersey for their Christmas Day home game against the Packers.

The jersey was delivered to the Pope by U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See Brian Burch as a Fourth of July gift.

Pope Leo was born Robert Prevost and is from Chicago. He is an avid fan of the White Sox, Bears and other local teams and has enjoyed several visits and gifts from them.
