Bears-Ravens inactives: RB D’Andre Swift will play

BALTIMORE — As expected, Bears running back D’Andre Swift will play against the Ravens on Sunday.

He was questionable for the game because of a groin injury but there was little doubt he’d be able to go. He was ruled active 90 minutes before kickoff Sunday.

Nose tackle Grady Jarrett will play after missing three games with a knee problem. Cairo Santos will kick after missing two with a groin injury.

Most of the injury report drama came a day earlier, when the Ravens ruled out quarterback Lamar Jackson and said that he should have been called limited, and not a full participant, on Friday. The NFL will investigate the team’s handling of his status. The Ravens said in a statement that he did not take starter’s snaps, and therefore should have been called limited.

The Bears made news of their own, putting slot cornerback Kyler Gordon on IR with a groin/calf injury and backup tackle Braxton Jones on IR with a knee problem.

The Bears ruled out tight end Cole Kmet (back), cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (shoulder) and running back Roschon Johnson (back) on Friday. The Ravens, coming off a bye, ruled out Jackson and no one else.

The Bears ruled out defensive tackle Chris Williams and linebacker Ruben Hyppolite as healthy scratches. Third-string quarterback Case Keenum is inactive.

Between quarterback Caleb Williams’ unsteadiness and poor decisions and the defense’s lapses, the Bears wasted a prime opportunity. This is the type of defeat that signals you should not be taken seriously.
Turner, who was drafted No. 62 overall, has played in five games.
