Wright sits
Bears right tackle Darnell Wright did not practice while he deals with a knee injury.
Wright played every snap Sunday but has dealt with a right elbow injury dating to last season, when he put on a brace rather than opting for surgery. He tweaked the elbow in practice last month but didn’t miss any significant practice time.
Neville Gallimore sat out with an illness and fellow defensive tackle Grady Jarrett got a veteran rest day. Six players were limited: running backs Kyle Monangai (hamstring) and D’Andre Swift (ankle/knee), defensive lineman Dayo Odeyingbo (shoulder), cornerback Malik Muhammad (ankle), tackle Ozzy Trapilo (knee) and safety Xavier Woods (groin).
Meanwhile, in Minneapolis
Vikings quarteback Kyler Murray, who was concussed Sunday, was limited in practice. The team has not yet ruled him out for Sunday’s game. Running back Jordan Mason, who led the team in carries and rushing yards in Week 1, will be put on injured reserve with a broken thumb.
Swift honored
Swift was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, three days after running 18 times for 124 yards and a career-high three touchdowns. He had signed a three-year, $33.75 million contract extension two days earlier.
Swift became the first Bears running back to win the award since Jordan Howard in 2006.
