Bears-Saints inactives: DT Grady Jarrett out vs. Saints

Defensive tackle Grady Jarrett won’t play for the Bears again this week.

He’s one of the Bears’ inactives for the Saints game, joining kicker Cairo Santos, receiver Jahdae Walker, linebacker Ruben Hyppolite, guard Luke Newman, linebacker Noah Sewell and emergency quarterback Case Keenum.

Sewell has a concussion, and the Bears ruled out Santos, who has a right quad injury, Friday.

The rest are healthy scratches.

Jarrett hasn’t played since Week 3 as he rehabs a knee injury. The Bears signed him to a three-year, $42.75 million contract in March after he spent the first 10 years of his career with the Falcons. He practiced Friday for the first time in a month.

“Missing games have always been real tough for me — I haven’t missed many in my career …” he said Friday. “I’m excited to be where I’m at and excited to get back and roll, whenever that time may be and contribute to the team.”

Williams finished 15-for-26 for 172 yards and one interception. His 61.7 passer rating was the fifth-worst of his career, with two of the three below it being the first two games of Williams’ career.
Kmet was hurt in the third quarter.
Stevenson was injured in the second quarter.
