The Paris-based watchmaker, which recently passed 34 years of eye-catching watches often inspired by the engineering and mechanics of flight, last made waves with a handsome S.T. Dupont watch collaboration made for cigar lovers earlier this summer. The new Bell & Ross BR-05 Green Steel GMT stands out fashionably in its own right, using a vivid green dial that also joins the similarly sport-inspired BR-03 Green Steel from the luxe horologist.
GMT watches, featuring a fourth hand that can be set to tell the time independently in another time zone no matter where the wearer happens to be on the globe, are a specialty for the upscale tool watch brand. Silver-toned reflections, the watchmaker says, bring a new visual appeal to its green sunray dial. The introduction of two green-dial watches by Bell & Ross lends strength to a recent trend of green-dial watches that, according to timepiece expert Teddy Baldassarre, are becoming more of an “essential” addition to a timepiece collection these days.
