A man from west suburban Bellwood who is suspected of shooting a man in Lawndale on Sunday morning is facing charges, Chicago police said.
James Hill, 40, is facing aggravated battery and attempted murder charges, police said.
Police say Hill shot a 35-year-old man in the 3800 block of West 14th Street at 7:51 a.m. after the two were involved in a verbal altercation. Hill was arrested nearby about six minutes after the shooting.
He is expected in court Tuesday.
