A man’s body was recovered from Barker Meadow Reservoir Sunday afternoon after a fisherman called for help.
The person fishing notified first responders shortly after noon “that they believed they saw a deceased person floating face down in the reservoir,” according to a Boulder County Sheriff’s Office news release. The Nederland Fire Protection District confirmed there was a body in the water, and the Boulder Emergency Squad’s cold water dive team recovered the body.
The dead man has not been identified.
The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will identify the man and determine the cause and manner of death.
