
A body has been pulled out of the water near Media City in Salford after police and emergency services closed off the area.
Multiple vehicles from Greater Manchester Police and forensic officers have been deployed to the scene in Salford Quays since the grim discovery earlier this afternoon.
Salford Quays in Greater Manchester is home to Media City, where BBC and ITV productions, including BBC Breakfast, Match of the Day, Coronation Street and The Voice UK, are based.
Photos from the scene show forensic officers dressed in white overalls leaving and entering a blue tent as they investigate the incident.

Police and other emergency service staff were seen outside the Salford Watersports Centre on Friday afternoon, as reported by Manchester Evening News.
Several GMP vehicles were at the scene, while multiple fire engines and ambulance service vehicles were also in attendance.
A cordon was in place around Salford Quay and near the watersports centre as officers manned the area.
A police spokesperson confirmed a body has been pulled from the water at Salford Quays.
An investigation is underway as formal identification takes place, and the circumstances of the incident have yet to be confirmed.
