The Boulder Jewish Community Center is set to hold a vigil tonight for the victims of the Pearl Street attack on Sunday.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. and last through 6:30 p.m. at the center, 6007 Oreg Ave. in Boulder. The event will also be livestreamed starting at 5:30 p.m. at boulderjcc.org/main/livestream, according to the event page.
All attendees are asked to preregister on the event webpage.
The first 30 minutes of the event will be dedicated as “time for connection,” with the next hour scheduled for programming.
In light of the attack on Sunday, there will be heightened security with local law enforcement presence and hired security guards.
Attendees are asked not to bring large bags or water bottles, flags, signs, or banners to the event. All attendees will be subject to a potential search, including wanding. Unwilling individuals will be asked to leave for the safety and security of all attendees, according to an event announcement on the center’s website.
The center stated that weapons are prohibited on campus, except when carried by contracted security or law enforcement personnel.
Attendees are encouraged by the center to carpool, use rideshare, bike or use public transit to get to the event. Once the parking lot is full, drivers will be directed to overflow lots at Naropa University Nalanda Campus, 6287 Arapahoe Ave., and The Avalon Ballroom, 6185 Arapahoe Ave.
