A gunman fled after shooting a 14-year-old boy during an argument early Thursday in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the city’s Far South Side, police said.
The teen was in the 11500 block of South Church Street around 1:45 a.m. when an argument erupted between him and a gunman turned physical and the boy was shot in the right thigh, Chicago police said.
He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition, police said.
The attacker fled in an unknown direction and was not arrested.
Area 2 detectives were investigating.
