A 15-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to raping a teenage girl in a Worcester park.

The 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted near the tennis courts in Cripplegate Park at around 2am on August 10.

Judge Andrew Lockhart KC remanded the boy in custody while a pre-sentence report is prepared.

Addressing the boy who remained in the enclosed dock throughout the hearing, the judge said: ‘You’ve pleaded guilty. You’re going to have your case adjourned for sentence.

‘You will come back before the court when you receive the sentence the court imposes.

‘You will receive a discount because you pleaded guilty.

‘You should make sure when you’re spoken to by the Youth Offending Team officers that you co-operate.

‘I remand you into custody.’

The boy will be sentenced on December 11.
