Car crashes into home in San Leandro


SAN LEANDRO – A driver crashed a car into a house Thursday morning in San Leandro, authorities said.

The collision was reported around 10:35 a.m. in the 15100 block of Edgemore Street.

San Leandro police officers and Alameda County firefighters arrived to find the driver still inside the car.

A driver crashed a car into a house in the 15100 block of Edgemore Street in San Leandro around 10:35 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2023, according to the San Leandro Police Department. 

The driver was extricated and taken to an area hospital, according to the Alameda County Fire Department. An update on their condition was not immediately available.

No one was inside the house at the time of the crash and no other injuries were reported.

The driver possibly suffered a medical emergency prior to the collision, according to the San Leandro Police Department.
