He received immediate medical attention outside the Dr Power restaurant in Queensway, west London, on August 26.

Mussie was then taken to hospital where he sadly passed away on August 30.

The Metropolitan Police have now released images of two people they believe may have information about the attack.

It comes after Omar Wilson, 31, pleaded not guilty to murdering Mussie after allegedly punching him multiple times in the head.

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, who is leading the investigation, said: “Mussie Imnetu’s murder has been devastating for his family and friends.

“A man will stand trial in February, but all the time we continue to investigate the attack.

“We need to speak to two men who were near the Dr Power restaurant in Queensway between 23:10hrs and 23:30hrs on Monday, 26 August and who we believe may hold vital information.

“I would like to stress that the two men pictured have not done anything wrong.

“If you are one of these men, or if you know one of them, we’d like to hear from you.

“We’d also still like to hear from anyone else who has information and hasn’t yet spoken to us.

“Did you happen to speak with the victim or the suspect at the time Did you hear or see anything before the attack took place?

“Any information you have could prove vital in our ongoing investigation.”

Wilson was originally charged with causing grievous bodily harm but the charge was changed to murder following Mussie’s death.

The defendant, of east London, appeared at the Old Bailey via video link from HMP Belmarsh on November 25 to deny murdering the chef.

At a previous court hearing, prosecutor Julian Winship outlined the facts of the case, alleging Wilson “headbutted” Mussie after the two interacted “in the area” of the carnival.

Around 70 seconds later, Wilson allegedly “punched the deceased five times to his head” and continued “punching him to the head” after he fell to the floor, Mr Winship told the court.

A trial date has been set for February 3 next year with a time estimate of two to three weeks.

Mussie had been visiting the UK on business from Dubai where he lived and worked as a chef.

He left The Arts Club, a private members-only club in Mayfair, on his own shortly after 1pm on August 26 wearing a blue T-shirt and black jeans.

Mussie is said to have later bought a white baseball cap before arriving alone at the Dr Power restaurant, which was busy with carnival attendees at about 10.30pm.

The Arts Club Dubai website says Mussie worked under celebrity chefs Ramsay and Wareing, as well as Alain Ducasse.

Anyone who can identify the people in the photos or who has other information is urged to call 101 or message @MetCC on X giving the reference 8020/26AUG.

Information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, by calling 0800 555 111.
