Cool breezy days with mostly sunny skies Friday are expected to carry metro Denver through winter’s last weekend with possible light snow in the Front Range foothills Friday.
National Weather Service forecasters said the high temperature in metro Denver will hit 40 degrees Friday, increasing to 43 degrees Saturday and possibly exceeding 50 degrees Sunday.
Wind blowing at 7 to 14 miles per hour will bring gusts at up to 22 mph.
In the mountains south of Interstate 70, snow may fall in some areas such as South Park, with less than an inch accumulating, according to the weather service. Road conditions in the mountains were improving. Colorado’s eastern high plains are expected to be dry with temperatures below normal in the 30s and low 40s.
