Disneyland attractions opening in August after closures

The Disneyland resort reopened three rides in July and will bring back two more attractions in August and another in September following seasonal refurbishments during the busy summer season.

Matterhorn Bobsleds and King Arthur Carrousel reopened in July and Haunted Mansion and Main Street Cinema will return in August following standard refurbishments at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

The new Soarin’ Across America debuted in July. The Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition will return in mid-September.

The Haunted Mansion in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square will reopen in holiday mode on Aug. 21 after a refurbishment scheduled for Aug. 8-20.

The Main Street Cinema will return on Aug. 28 after an 18-day closure set for Aug. 10-27. Crews are expected to remove the “Last Verse” video celebrating the Disney songwriting work of the Sherman Brothers.

The new Soarin’ Across America debuted in early July at Disney California Adventure. Expect to see Soarin’ Over California and Soarin’ Around the World reemerge for limited-time seasonal runs sometime in the future.

Disneyland’s 1922 King Arthur Carrousel in Fantasyland reopened in mid-July following a closure for seasonal refurbishment.

The Matterhorn Bobsleds roller coaster in Fantasyland at Disneyland returned in late July after a brief refurbishment.

The Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition shooting gallery that closed in early July is scheduled to return Sept. 11.

The big question mark, Silly Symphony Swings, which has been closed since April still doesn’t have a reopening date.
