Disneyland will close eight attractions for seasonal refurbishments during the busy Christmas holiday season that has become the most popular time of the year at the Anaheim theme park resort.
Indiana Jones Adventure, Incredicoaster, Grizzly River Run, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes, Sailing Ship Columbia, Pixie Hollow and “Fantasmic” will temporarily close in December and early January as part of the standard refurbishment schedule at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

The winter holiday season runs through Jan. 7 at Disneyland and DCA.
Indiana Jones Adventure in Adventureland will close Monday, Dec. 1 for a brief refurbishment. The motion-based dark ride is expected to reopen on Thursday, Dec. 4.
The Incredicoaster and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind in DCA’s Pixar Pier will be closed starting Jan. 5 for seasonal refurbishment.

The Grizzly River Run at Disney California Adventure will close Jan. 5 for the annual winter refurbishment of the river rapids ride.
Traffic on the Rivers of America at Disneyland will be disrupted with the Sailing Ship Columbia and Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes out of commission Dec. 1-4.
The “Fantasmic” nighttime spectacular on Disneyland’s Rivers of America will be dark Dec. 1-4, Dec. 8-11, Dec. 15-18, Dec. 31 and Jan. 5-8.

Pixie Hollow in Fantasyland will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays in December (Dec. 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25 and 30) after the Disneyland character meet-and-greet area was recently closed for a 10-month refurbishment.
The eight new closures join the “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” show that closed in April and is not expected to return until fall 2026 after the yearlong run of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration.
The new “Walt Disney — A Magical Life” that debuted in July will play by itself during its initial run and will then play in rotation with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” in Disneyland’s Main Street Opera House.
Disneyland may occasionally run the “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” show whenever the Walt Disney animatronic malfunctions.
