Major League Baseball released its 2027 schedule on Thursday amid significant skepticism that the season will actually start on time. A lockout is widely expected to begin on Dec. 1, 2026, and linger into the season. In 2021-22, the last time there was a lockout, the start of the season was delayed by a week, and the games were made up as doubleheaders and into early October.
If by some unlikely event the owners and players settle their differences and ink a new Collective Bargaining Agreement in time, the Dodgers will open at home on Thursday, March 25 against the Atlanta Braves. Opening Day would begin a six-game, seven-day homestand that continues against Atlanta (March 27-28) and the Minnesota Twins (March 29-31).
The Dodgers’ first road trip is a three-city excursion that begins Thursday, April 1 in Denver with a four-game series against the Colorado Rockies. They then head to Arizona for three games with the Diamondbacks (5-7) followed by an off day and then three games against the Padres in San Diego (April 9-11)
The Dodgers are scheduled to face the Angels in Anaheim from May 28-30, and host them at Dodger Stadium from July 16-18, immediately after the All-Star break.
They host the New York Yankees in a 2024 World Series rematch on Aug. 27-29.
The final regular-season home game is scheduled for Sept. 19 against Arizona, then the final week is a road trip to Colorado (Sept. 21-23) and Arizona (Sept. 24-26).
