A family is grateful Tuesday after firefighters saved their dog named Agusta and also took one person to a hospital in a house fire in Santa Ana.
Firefighters responded to the house fire around 4 p.m. Monday on West Fight Avenue, where they were able to confine the flames to the house’s garage and prevent it from spreading to the rest of the structure in five minutes, the Orange County Fire Authority said in a statement.

Details on the victim’s condition were not immediately available.
Agusta was carried to safety cuddled in a firefighters arms.
The cause of the fire was under investigation, according to the OCFA.
Personnel from the Fountain Valley Fire Department and the Santa Ana Police Department also responded to the fire, authorities said.
