A driver died after he sped down Pulaski Road in Archer Heights on Saturday night and crashed into another car — causing his car to catch fire, Chicago police said.
The driver was speeding north on Pulaski Road in a Jeep Cherokee just before midnight when he crashed into a Honda Pilot driven by a 67-year-old man turning into the 4400 block of South Pulaski, police said.
The Jeep driver lost control and crashed into a tree and a fence. The car then caught on fire, according to police.
The driver, whose age and name have not been released, was dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
