A driver fatally struck a woman Tuesday night in the North Park neighborhood, according to police.
A 70-year-old man driving westbound in a Chevy SUV hit the woman who was “near the street” about 6:15 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Foster Avenue, Chicago police said in a statement.
The woman, whose age wasn’t known, was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
CPD’s Major Accidents Unit is investigating the crash, police said.
