A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 on Monday, temporarily closing the westbound lanes of the highway near the exits for Copper Mountain and Frisco.
The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle, said Sgt. Ivan Alvarado of the Colorado State Patrol.
One lane of eastbound I-70 was reopened by 6 p.m. Monday, Alvarado said. The westbound lanes between mile markers 196 and 200 were closed and would likely remain closed until around 9 p.m. Monday evening, Alvarado said.
