EA Sports is kicking off another season of soccer gaming with Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham as the official cover athletes for EA Sports’ FC 27.

FC 27, announced to be launching on September 25, will feature the two Real Madrid teammates after both had terrific showings for their national teams (France and England, respectively) in this month’s World Cup. Their likenesses will grace the covers of both the standard, ultimate and ultimate plus editions, with the latter two offering gamers early access to the full game a week early on September 18.
Beyond the star power on the box, EA Sports FC 27 is set to introduce several of its biggest gameplay additions in years. The headline feature is The Grounds, a new social hub that expands the Clubs experience with casual street-style matches, competitive events and player progression guided by soccer stars including Mbappé, Chloe Kelly and Paulo Dybala, along with fan favorite Alex Hunter.
Career Mode will also receive a major overhaul thanks to a rebuilt transfer market powered by TransferRoom, adding more realistic negotiations, bidding wars and player valuations. Football Ultimate Team is getting a significant upgrade as well with the debut of the FUT Gallery, a new collection system that rewards players for building and showcasing their ultimate club across seasons.
All these new features are built with fan feedback in mind, according to EA, though we’ll have to wait until September to see what new additions to the decades-old franchise will actually resonate with fans. Pre-orders are available now with FC 27 set to make its way to PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.
