Eighteen people were injured Thursday afternoon when several vehicles crashed inside the Bay Bridge tunnel, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
The crashes happened at about 12:40 p.m. on Interstate 80, closing multiple lanes and snarling Thanksgiving Day traffic, authorities said.
Four of the people injured were hospitalized, the fire department tweeted. However, all 18 people injured were expected to recover, officials said.
