‘Entitled’ mum sparks chaos by refusing to let passengers off plane

A seemingly ordinary flight turned into chaos on arrival when a passenger blocked the aisle and refused to allow other people to disembark. Footage shows the woman, who was on a Frontier Airlines aircraft, defiantly standing in front of other passengers, while the chairs and aisles ahead of her were empty. Naturally, this led to plenty of backlash from those around her, who had already been stuck on the plane for three extra hours due to a delayed takeoff (Picture: Twitter/x)
When pressed as to why she wasn’t moving, the woman began screaming at the passengers, claiming that they weren’t allowing her daughter — who was seated at the ‘very back’ of the plane — to pass through those in the aisle to leave with her. As the woman persisted in shouting and blocking the exit, one person was heard shouting: ‘What is wrong with you? I would hate to be your daughter and have to go home with you, no wonder she’s back there’ (Picture: Twitter/x)
This angered the woman even further, who warned the passenger to be ‘careful.’ She also swore at her before turning to the flight attendant, who was trying to diffuse the situation by kindly asking the woman to step into an empty aisle to wait for her daughter. She kept saying: ‘They won’t let my daughter pass and I’m not getting off without her.’ The video of the chaotic moment then captured the huddled group of passengers huffing, puffing, and talking over one another, as others remained calmly in their seats, not getting involved (Picture: Getty Images)
‘Why they can’t let her come past?’ she snapped to the flight attendant, who once again advised her to move aside. At the same time, frustrated passengers repeated what they had been saying, that they would all have to return to their seats to make room for her to pass and skip the queue. They also questioned why the woman couldn’t just get off the plane otherwise empty plane and meet her daughter at the exit. One fellow passenger asked: ‘You haven’t been on this plane long enough, lady?’ she asked
The woman then became more infuriated, cussing at the passenger even more. ‘Nobody said nothing to you and you’re not the problem solver!’ she hissed, as the person jibed back: ‘This is my business, I want to get off the plane!’ But the funny thing about the whole altercation? The video, which was first shared on Instagram by D1rtpix, sparked plenty of reaction. As for the comments, people couldn’t believe how rude the woman was, while others thought the whole situation was so stupid they couldn’t help but laugh. ‘How embarrassing having a mother like that. The daughter is probably hiding from her. Lol,’ one person said, as another penned: ‘And this ladies and gentlemen is the perfect example of entitlement’
‘Couldn’t she have just stepped aside into a seat row like the flight attendant and wait for her daughter there while people passed? Just wondering…..,’ a third said, while a fourth suggested that the unruly crowd who fed into the drama were also part of the problem. ‘They should have just let her daughter pass through the aisle…..It wasn’t like another one or two minutes was gonna hold them from catching their next flight or whatever.’ Metro have contacted Frontier for comment (Picture: Getty Images)
