He picked gyms in close proximity, starting at his local, and took 13 hours and 49 minutes.

Leo, of Lewisham, South East London, wore a GPS to verify his movements and travelled by foot, train and bus.

He said: “I’m really into the gym and it’s helped me through asthmatic episodes.

“There was a lot of logistics involved in this and it took months to set up.

“I had to take a photo in each gym, a video of me doing the reps and get witness statements.

“The criteria was by foot or public transport only so I focused on South East and then central London.

“I had to set up calls with every gym as obviously I couldn’t pay for gym memberships for all of them!”

It took Guinness World Records four months to confirm the success, in part due to the complexity of the challenge.

Leo raised £900 for Asthma + Lung UK. The former Guinness World Record was 50 gyms.
