Larimer County officials are searching for avid fisherman and Fort Collins resident Larry Baker, whose car was found at a wildlife area the day after he left home and did not return.
Baker, 80, left his home around 7:30 a.m. Monday and was reported missing on Tuesday, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said.
Park rangers found his vehicle parked at Watson Lake State Wildlife Area, northwest of Fort Collins near Bellvue.
Search and rescue crews have been searching the area using dogs, drones and sonar equipment, and the lake is closed to the public. There is no indication of foul play, sheriff’s officials said.
Baker is described as white and 5 feet, 8 inches tall with white hair, facial hair and glasses. He was last seen wearing jeans and a light blue shirt under a striped shirt.
Anyone who may have seen him in the Watson Lake area on Monday or Tuesday can call the sheriff’s office at 970-498-5360.
