Garfield Park neighborhood shooting ruled homicide

A Saturday autopsy determined the death of a male shot Friday afternoon in the city’s Garfield Park neighborhood was a homicide.

The victim, a male of an unknown age, was found about 12:05 p.m. unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest inside a home in the 3300 block of West Flournoy Street, police said.

He was pronounced dead on the scene and an autopsy Saturday determined he died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, which ruled the death a homicide.

No one has been arrested and Area 4 detectives are investigating.
