Hallmark Channel picks Bears for upcoming Christmas movie, ‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story’

Even the Hallmark Channel is betting on this being a big season for the Bears.

The team and the network announced plans for a Christmas-related romance movie that will air leading up to the holiday. The Bears already have plans, of course, as they’re hosting the Packers on Christmas Day on Netflix.

The movie is called “Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story,” and likely will feature some current and former players and coaches. When Hallmark featured the Bills last year, it included Damar Hamlin, Dion Dawkins, then coach Sean McDermott, Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas and others.

“My wife Jessica and I will definitely be tuning in for this one,” coach Ben Johnson said in a video promoting the release.

Bears president Kevin Warren said it will be “a special, meaningful movie.”

It’s the third film in the series after Hallmark capitalized on the popularity of the Chiefs in 2024 stemming from tight end Travis Kelce dating Taylor Swift.

The cast and release date are to be announced, and filming in Chicago and the surrounding area will begin this summer.
