Brits across the country were in top form despite stowed out venues and parties continued out onto the streets.

London, Newcastle, Nottingham and Portsmouth were all packed to the brim with partygoers going all out in fancy dress.

Groups of girls celebrated Halloween in racy costumes from playboy bunnies to sexy police officers.

Devils in corsets and leopards were among the outfits of choice for other ladies during the spooky holiday.

More than one Joker was spotted out in public while Harley Quinn also made an appearance.

One partygoer dressed in a red corset even wielded a pitchfork as she fully embraced the spirit of Halloween.

In Portsmouth, thousands hit clubs and bars to celebrate the spooky holiday.

Women dressed as police officers did not leave much to the imagination while some lads dressed up as a group of convicts.

The Astoria nightclub and adjoining Tokyo Joe’s bar was the busiest in the city with 2000 people packing out the venues, partying until 3am.

Meanwhile, Nottingham and Newcastle were bustling with life even in the early hours thanks to happy revellers.

In Nottingham, students wore cowboy hats, devil outfits and some even went as Nintendo characters Mario and Luigi as they partied in the city centre.

Other outfits included a terrifying Joker costume complete with the card, Scooby Doo, and a firefighter.

Playboy bunnies seemed to be a popular choice for one group of glam girls in Leeds.

Some went as Harry Potter characters in Newcastle, while others clutched sparkly pom poms and balloons.

And in London, revellers hit the streets of Soho to enjoy Halloween drinks dressed in their spookiest outfits.

Others were spotted wearing costumes from the popular Scary Movie franchise.

The celebrations came after revellers also partied into the early hours on Wednesday night to see in October 31.

Popular themes during this year’s spooky season have included pop sensation Chappell Roan and the new Beetlejuice film.
