Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly demanding a seat on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during King Charles’ coronation – and a tribute during the celebrations of their two young children, according to a report.

The couple’s pleas and apparent waiting until their wishes are granted could throw the historic event into “chaos,” royal insiders fear.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who recently received their invitations to the May 6 ceremony – are still debating whether or not to make the 5,459-mile journey.

If they leave, the exiled royals will be met with the “cold shoulder” of senior members of the royal family, according to one report.

Harry and Meghan are mainly concerned about their children’s roles – Prince Archie, who will turn 4 on the day his grandfather is crowned king, and Princess Lilibet, 1, a source close to the palace said OK! Magazine.

It’s believed Archie and Lilibet weren’t invited to the coronation, which reportedly didn’t go down too well with the exiled royals.

“The palace is trying to complete the negotiations as soon as possible because they cannot go straight to the door. It could lead to chaos,” an insider told the outlet.

“However, the Sussexes are pushing to be taken in with the rest of the family at the Palace later that day,” the insider added.

A source close to the palace said the main concern is that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex want their children included. AP

“It’s also Prince Archie’s birthday on Coronation Day, so they’d like to have some sort of nod to that at a lunch or drinks reception. Even if it’s just a birthday greeting.”

The absence of the two youngsters from the event was “never a bone of contention,” the source said, due to the “restlessness and tantrums typical of young children.”

Harry and Meghan are also reportedly pushing to be photographed on the balcony of Buckingham Palace on the big day – a royal protocol reserved exclusively for working members of the royal family.

“However, the Sussexes are pushing to be admitted to the palace with the rest of the family later that day,” the insider told AP media

“It could very well end in a stalemate and they won’t participate. But the palace is doing everything in its power not to let that happen.”

Charles is due to be officially crowned on May 6, a date fans believe was specifically chosen to spark conflict for the Sussexes and Archies’ birthday.

Meanwhile, plans revealed that Prince William’s children are expected to attend the coronation, reports The Times.

George, 9, Charlotte, 7, and Louis, 5, will join their parents Prince William and Kate Middleton in a carriage behind a Gold State Coach transporting the King and Queen, the outlet show sees.

The coronation drama is the latest sign of discord among the royals since the Sussexes stepped down as senior members of the royal family in 2020.

The move caused controversy and bad blood, ultimately resulting in their being absent from the palace balcony for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations last summer.

The Post has reached out to the Sussexes’ representatives, while Kensington Palace declined to comment.
