
Prince Harry has denied any claims he is trying to ‘drive a wedge’ between King Charles and Prince William.
The Duke of Sussex’s recent reunion with King Charles for the first time in more than year has raised concerns over Harry’s intention for the visit.
Some have claimed the meeting caused a rift between the King and his eldest son, Prince William – claims which have been denied.
A spokesman for Harry said: ‘Categorically not. Harry is not trying to drive a wedge between the Prince of Wales and the King.’
Meanwhile, a source close to the Prince of Wales said the rumours suggesting he and the King are at odds are ‘rubbish’.

The Duke of Sussex flew to London earlier this month to attend the annual WellChild awards, and reserved some time to lay flowers on his grandmother’s grave, Queen Elizabeth II, to mark three years since her death.
His visit also involved a trip Clarence House where he had tea with his father, in a exchange which lasted around 30 minutes.
The last time the estranged father and son met was in February 2024 after the monarch revealed his was receiving cancer treatment.
Meanwhile, Harry and his brother have not spoken since the late Queen’s funeral.
Sources close the Duke of Sussex insist Harry is seeking reconiliation with his family, and said his recent visit was focused around ‘catching up’ with Royal Family members.
A spokesman for Harry said: ‘The trip back was about focusing on his patronages and supporting his good causes while also having time to catch up with family and friends.’
However, it is understood Harry was taken aback by royal formalities and described the meeting with his father as ‘very official, like an official visit’.
Insiders have suggested the exchange was awkward and felt reminiscent of visits carried out for dignitaries and guests at royal residences.
It also understood the prince gifted his father a framed photograph oh himself with wife Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet.
The King has not seen his grandchildren since the Platiinum Jubille in June 2022.
Sources close to Harry have said he is happy with his family in California, but a Palace aide said the door remains open for the Duke of Sussex should he want to return and visit the King.
