Heat advisory for Los Angeles County for Wednesday and Thursday

Los Angeles County is the focus of a heat advisory released at 11:55 a.m. on Monday by the National Weather Service. The advisory is valid from Wednesday 10 a.m. until Thursday Sept. 10, at 8 p.m.

“Temperatures of 85 to 105 degrees expected. 10 to 20 degrees above normal,” according to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA. “Humid conditions will add to heat discomfort. Heat peaking on Wednesday for most areas, except likely peaking Thursday for the Santa Barbara South Coast. Chance for Heat Advisories to be extended into Friday.”

“Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses,” the NWS said.
